Either you needed to have enough money to be able to afford the good decisions or you'd have to skimp out and make the bad decisions.Īs others have said, it felt like a step backwards from what we were used to from Fable 1 and 2. I didn't enjoy the aurora area and the decisions you have to make at the end felt very shallow. I didn't mind Fable 3 initially but after trawling through about half of the game it just gets a bit weird. Fable 3 I have played maybe 1 and a half times. I have played each Fable 1 and 2 over a dozen times at least. The one childhood friend you can have disappeared somehow late game. Feel like magic should have been more interesting. I expected to be able to go where I felt and recruit the factions I wanted. The first half of the game was kind of linear too. It wasn't really interesting at that point. You were a major character in Fable 1, coming back for Fable 2 was interesting, but gtfo already. Or at least by that point, I expected a lot more depth. The most binary good/evil system Fable has really ever had. It was boring and all the throne room choices were obvious evil choice, get money or obvious good choice, pay money. There was no indication I was coming so close to the final battle when it did even though I should have literally had a year (could have passed by one month per day instead of how it did). It skips throw 365 at entirely inconsistent and random intervals. Here is a list of the things I recall disliking about it: - The entire second half of the game. I saw the trailer for Fable 3 and I was hyped up for months. I became a Fable fan in the OG Xbox days. there are very few games that change the world as much as Fable 3 does when the main quest is completed (it can and will kill off a lot of the population if you fail). I am curious on reading responses to your post to find out why people dislike it so much. for players who value combat, they would see it as a disadvantage. magic being as powerful as it was meant that i never had to learn how to properly block or dodge. the combat in the game wasn't my favourite, and i will be the first to admit that the spellcasting was overpowered as there is no way i should have survived the dungeon in the desert. i loved learning about why Logan turned out to be the cruel ruler that he was and my heart broke during Walter's death. i thought that the main quest line was engaging and the consequences were devastating. for me, i adore Fable 3, but i also played it first. I was introduced to the franchise from Fable 3 and i think it may be due to the order it is played and what features people value from previous games.
